Dr. Mary Bove passed away this month. She was a colleague and friend who contributed greatly to the botanical education of naturopathic physicians, integrative physicians, herbalists, students of herbal medicine, and the general public.
Mary practiced for several decades as a naturopathic physician and midwife at her clinic in Brattleboro, Vermont, was a sought after educator, author and formulator of herbal products in the commercial market. In time, she moved to the woods of New Hampshire and had a simpler life with friends, family, and nature.
She was most recently honored this spring, by the American Botanical Council, and received the Fredi Kronenberg Excellence in Research and Education in Botanicals in Women’s Health Award for 2025.
Mary loved plants, learning, and walked gently on this earth with friends, family, and community. She will be missed.
